General Community Guidelines

The general standards governing community interactions on Dimedove.

At Dimedove, we’re building a trusted, educational, and inclusive space where Clients and Pros engage in meaningful financial discussions. These Community Guidelines outline the standards expected from all Users to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional environment.

By using Dimedove, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension.


1. Respect & Professionalism

1.1 Be Polite and Respectful

  • Treat all Users with patience, professionalism, and kindness.

  • No harassment, bullying, or hostile behavior is tolerated.

  • Disagreements are fine—insults, name-calling, or aggressive behavior are not.

1.2 No Discrimination or Hate Speech

  • Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or other forms of discrimination are prohibited.

  • This includes posts, comments, messages, usernames, and profile content.

1.3 Maintain Professional Conduct

  • Pros must remain neutral, constructive, and professional at all times.

  • Condescending, fear-based, or emotionally manipulative language is not permitted in financial responses.

  • Always prioritize Client understanding, not urgency or panic.

1.4 No Political, Religious, or Controversial Commentary

  • Political views, religious opinions, or polarizing socio-economic commentary are prohibited on Dimedove.

  • All content must stay within the bounds of respectful, neutral, and financially educational discussion.


2. Safe & Responsible Interactions

2.1 No Threats, Violence, or Harmful Content

  • Threats, promotion of self-harm, or violent language will result in immediate action.

  • If you or someone else is in crisis, seek professional help immediately.

2.2 No Explicit or Sexual Content

  • Dimedove is a professional platform. Sexual, suggestive, or inappropriate content in any form is strictly prohibited.

2.3 No Spam, Scams, or Misinformation

  • Do not post deceptive or misleading content.

  • Spamming, irrelevant promotion, phishing, impersonation, or scam attempts are strictly prohibited.

2.4 Anonymous Participation

  • Dimedove allows Clients to submit questions anonymously. Anonymous activity is subject to the same standards of respect and responsibility.


3. Privacy & Data Protection

3.1 Respect Confidentiality

  • Do not publicly share personal or sensitive data—yours or anyone else’s.

  • Pros must comply with Quebec’s data protection laws and Dimedove’s Privacy Policy.

3.2 No Off-Platform Contact or Data Export

  • Users may not solicit off-platform services or financial engagements.

  • Even if a Client voluntarily shares personal information, Pros are prohibited from saving, exporting, or using that data outside the platform.


4. Content Guidelines

4.1 High-Quality, Constructive Contributions

  • Clients should ask relevant, well-structured financial questions.

  • Pros should offer clear, accurate, and thoughtful insights in alignment with platform policy.

4.2 No Financial Manipulation or Speculation

  • Content must be fact-based and grounded in responsible financial education.

  • Speculation, emotionally charged language, or manipulative advice is not permitted.

4.3 No Promotion of Financial Products

  • No endorsement or promotion of financial institutions, services, or products is allowed.

4.4 User Responsibility

  • All submitted content is the sole responsibility of the User.

  • Users must not infringe on copyright, intellectual property, or legal rights of others.

4.5 External Resources

  • Users may include links to non-commercial, relevant, and factual resources (e.g., government sites).

  • Promotional, affiliate, or referral links are strictly prohibited.


5. Platform Integrity & Security

5.1 No Hacking, Exploits, or Abuse

  • Do not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or exploit any part of the Dimedove platform.

5.2 Impersonation & False Representation

  • Users may not impersonate others, claim credentials they do not possess, or mislead others about their role on the platform.

5.3 Reporting Suspicious Activity

  • Report violations using Dimedove’s reporting tools.

  • Do not take matters into your own hands—Dimedove’s moderation team will investigate.


6. Social Features & Following

  • Dimedove may allow Users to follow each other to stay informed of activity and updates.

  • All follow-related behavior must remain respectful, non-intrusive, and professional.

  • Stalking, unsolicited contact, or follow-to-harass behavior will not be tolerated.


7. Moderation & Enforcement

7.1 Reporting & Review

  • Users can report violations using in-app tools or by contacting support.

  • Reports are reviewed by our moderation team confidentially and in good faith.

7.2 Consequences of Violations

Depending on the nature of the violation, Dimedove may take the following actions:

  • Warning – A formal reminder of policy expectations

  • Content Removal – Deletion of violating posts, comments, or responses

  • Temporary Suspension – Account access limited for a defined time

  • Permanent Ban – Full deactivation of account and platform privileges

All moderation decisions are final and not subject to appeal.


8. Updates to These Guidelines

Dimedove reserves the right to update these Community Guidelines at any time to reflect platform changes, policy updates, or regulatory considerations.

Continued use of Dimedove after updates indicates acceptance of the revised rules.
