1. Introduction
Welcome to Dimedove. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dimedove platform and services (“Dimedove”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using Dimedove, you (“User”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Dimedove operates as a digital marketplace that allows individuals (“Clients”) to access general financial insights and educational content from qualified professionals (“Pros”). Dimedove does not provide financial advice, nor does it sell or distribute financial products. The content shared on the platform is informational only and should not be interpreted as professional, regulated financial advice.
Dimedove acts solely as a facilitator. Pros are individually responsible for the accuracy, legality, and ethical compliance of the content they provide.
2. Definitions
Client: A User who submits financial questions or seeks educational content from Pros.
Pro: A User who contributes general financial insights through the platform, subject to verification and adherence to platform policies.
User: Any individual accessing or using the Dimedove platform, including both Clients and Pros.
Services: The functionalities offered by Dimedove, including question-and-answer tools, written content, and (in the future) one-on-one virtual sessions.
3. User Roles and Responsibilities
3.1 Clients
Clients may submit questions to receive general financial insight from Pros.
Clients understand that Pros are not providing regulated financial advice or product recommendations.
Clients are solely responsible for how they use the information provided and must make their own independent decisions.
3.2 Pros
Pros must act within the scope of their certified expertise, remain compliant with all applicable laws, and abide by the Dimedove Pro Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Pros must not misrepresent their qualifications or credentials, and are responsible for keeping their certifications current.
Pros may not promote, endorse, or sell specific financial products or services through the platform.
Pros may not solicit or engage Clients outside of Dimedove unless explicitly and verifiably permitted by the Client, as governed by the Pro Code of Conduct.
4. Scope of Service
Dimedove provides tools for educational interaction, financial learning, and non-personalized financial information exchange.
Dimedove does not provide financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.
All insights provided on the platform should be interpreted as educational in nature only.
5. AI-Powered Features
Some content or responses on the platform may be generated, in part, using artificial intelligence technologies.
Dimedove makes no representations as to the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated content.
Users acknowledge and agree that AI outputs are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for independent judgment or professional consultation.
6. Intellectual Property
Content submitted by Users remains their intellectual property; however, by submitting content, Users grant Dimedove a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and distribute said content for any business purpose, including platform display, education, AI training, and marketing.
Dimedove may retain and use User-submitted content even after account deletion, subject to applicable data privacy laws.
Users may not copy, republish, or distribute platform content without explicit authorization.
7. Platform Use Restrictions
Users may not:
Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access or interact with Dimedove;
Attempt to manipulate platform features, including ratings or monetization systems;
Submit plagiarized, false, or misleading content;
Engage in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior;
Impersonate another individual or falsify credentials;
Promote or engage in politically charged, religious, or controversial socioeconomic commentary;
Provide specific financial projections or hypothetical dollar figures, unless absolutely necessary and clearly qualified;
Use the platform to endorse, promote, or sell financial products or services.
8. Ratings and Reviews
Dimedove may provide Clients with tools to rate or review their interactions with Pros.
Ratings are used to maintain service quality and may influence a Pro’s visibility or privileges on the platform.
Pros may not attempt to manipulate or contest legitimate feedback unless it violates platform guidelines.
9. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Termination
Dimedove may monitor and audit platform activity for quality assurance, compliance, and security.
Dimedove reserves the right to remove content, suspend access, withhold compensation, or terminate any account at its sole discretion for any violation of these Terms or platform policies.
Participation in monetization or other incentive programs does not create an employment or contractor relationship.
10. Dispute Resolution
Clients and Pros should attempt to resolve disputes directly.
If resolution is not possible, Dimedove may facilitate informal mediation.
All disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration, waiving the right to participate in class action proceedings, and governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
11. Data Privacy and User Rights
Dimedove collects and handles User data in accordance with its [Privacy Policy].
Users have the right to request access to their data or request data deletion, subject to local laws and platform retention requirements.
Dimedove complies with Quebec and other applicable privacy laws to protect User data.
12. Age and Residency Requirements
By using Dimedove, Users confirm they are at least 13 years old or meet the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction.
Users under the minimum required age must not use the platform.
13. Anonymous Participation
Dimedove allows Clients to submit questions anonymously if they choose.
Anonymous activity is still subject to all platform rules and monitoring processes.
14. Third-Party Tools and Integrations
Dimedove may integrate with external tools (e.g., Stripe, Interac e-Transfer) to support platform functionality.
Dimedove is not liable for any failures or limitations caused by third-party services.
15. Changes to the Platform and Terms
Dimedove reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of the platform or these Terms at any time and at its sole discretion, with or without notice.
When changes to the Terms are made, Dimedove will make a reasonable and good-faith effort to notify Users as quickly as possible via platform alerts, email communication, or other appropriate channels. However, it remains the User's responsibility to review the most current version of the Terms.
Continued use of the platform after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Regulatory Alignment
Dimedove operates with a best-effort commitment to comply with local laws, including data protection and financial service regulations, wherever it operates.
Dimedove is not a licensed financial institution, nor does it assume responsibility for the licensing or legal compliance of individual Pros.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. All disputes shall be handled under this legal framework, with venue in the appropriate jurisdiction within Quebec.
